What Are Sponsors?
Afro Puffs and Ponytails believe strongly in it’s efforts to recognize and promote African American women and girls. This website is just the beginning of the many positive ventures that we have in store.
As you know, the cost for maintaining the website grows with every entry of information. Also, it is our desire to one day be able to send each High Achiever a congratulatory certificate for being recognized as a High Achiever along with a gift certificate to redeem or products and services from participating sponsors.
Sponsors provide financial support and make it possible to do all of the above and more! Sponsors also help promote our purpose by proudly displaying our banner or link on their websites, spreading the news about who we are, what we do, and by providing suggestions and recommendations for growth and improvement.
Your Benefits As A Sponsor (effective October 11, 2009 until December 31, 2009)
Individual Sponsors ($12) are published on our Individual Sponsor’s page for 1 (one) year. One can also make a donation on behalf of another individual. This would make a great gift for a teen girl or young girl. Their name and state will be published on the website and they will receive a bi-monthly newsletter of featured African American women and High Achievers. Individuals Sponsors receive access to forum.
Community Sponsors ($ 25) will have their name, which will link to their website, published on the Community Sponsors’ page of Afro Puffs and Ponytails for one(1) year. Community Sponsors include non-profit organizations and or church organizations. Afro Puffs and Ponytails will publish the names of Community Sponsors in the bi-monthly newsletter during the first 30 days of paid sponsorship. Community Sponsors may add events for girls - dates and location to our calendar for THEIR organization only. Community Sponsors receive access to the forum.
Basic Sponsor Ad ($35 for 30 days)- This is a 125×190 ad midway the front page and it will link to your website for 30 days. Your name will be placed on the Individual Sponsor’s page for 1 (one) year. Your link will be placed in the bi-monthly newsletter during the month of your sponsorship purchase. You will also receive a feature story in the Black Spotlight. (The location of this ad remains stationary; it does rotate up and down the page like the 125×125 ads). You also receive access to the forum.
Business Sponsors* ($50) will have their name published on the Business Sponsors’ page of Afro Puffs and Ponytails and they will receive a 125 X 125 ad space on the website for 30 days. Ads are visible on every page for 30 days and will link to the Business Sponsor’s website. We will also do a feature story on your business for the Black Spotlight category. After your ad expires(30 days), we will deactivate the website ad, but your business name and link will remain on the Business Sponsor’s page for 1 year. Your feature story will also remain on Afro Puffs and Ponytails. Business Sponsors will be published in the bi-monthly newsletter during each 30 days of paid sponsorship. Business Sponsors may add events for girls - dates and location to our calendar for THEIR business only. Business Sponsors receive access to the forum.
Corporate Sponsors* ($150) will have their name published on the Corporate Sponsor’s page of Afro Puffs and Ponytails and they will receive a 300 x 250 ad space in the top right-hand side bar of Afro Puffs and Ponytails for 60 days. Ad is visible on every page and will link to the Corporate Sponsors’ website. After your ad expires, we will deactivate it, but your Corporate name and link will remain on the Corporate Sponsor’s page for 1 year. We will list Corporate Sponsors in the bi-monthly newsletter during each 60 day paid sponsorship. Corporate Sponsors may add events for girls - dates and location to our calendar for THEIR business only. Corporate Sponsors receives access to the forum.
If you are a business that would like to become a sponsor by providing a gift certificate , products, or samples totaling $ 50 or more for selected High Achievers, please use our contact form and provide the details of your interest and your proposed donations.
Sponsor Links - As any of the above sponsors, you are entitled to purchase Sponsor Links under articles of your choice and the links will remain for 90 days. Sponsor Links are for posts only(no pages).
Promotional Products through Amazon or Share A Sale- If you have products that you are promoting through Amazon or Share A Sale that you would like advertised on Afro Puffs and Ponytails, if you are any of the above sponsors, we will consider adding your product link to relevant posts and articles. The founder reserves the right to approve or deny your product advertisement request.

*Due to the fact that Afro Puffs and Ponytails target population is geared towards girls k-12, we reserve the right to decline sponsors that we deem inappropriate for the atmosphere that we have established. If you are uncertain as to whether or not your ad will be accepted, please send in a request for sponsorship approval prior to making your purchase.
