Dream Girls Mentoring Program, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was established on August 27, 2008 by Tamira Dunn. This program was designed to uplift, empower and educate teen mothers. Dream Girls’ purpose is to instill positive self images that will enable young women to be confident and successful.
Current statistics show that the teen pregnancy rate in Maryland has increased, however there are no statistics showing programs like Dream Girls that are designed to assist young mothers. The Dream Girls Mentoring Program, Inc. staff is committed to support these young ladies and to make significant impacts on their lives.
At Dream Girls Mentoring Program Inc., teens are paired with a mentor who mentors them on the importance of education, parenting, and self-esteem. They also have a great set of programs in place to focus on the overall success of the youth. Dream Girls Mentoring Program Inc. wants teenage mothers to know that getting an education and having a successful life is possible despite their situation.
With the help of Dream Girls Mentoring Program Inc. and the community teen mothers can graduate from high school and become self sufficient all while maximizing their true abilities.
