Greetings,
My name is Rashidat and I am writing on behalf of Trina Soumare of Ballet Brika West African Dance Theater. Mrs. Soumare requested that I contact your organization about our exciting African drum, dance and folklore classes now offered in the Midtown Fort Lauderdale community on Sistrunk Avenue.
Students are coming from Miami, Lauderhill, North Broward and Palm Beach County to attend these classes but we want to better serve the people who live along the Sistrunk Corridor!
Because we are new to the area, we hope that your organization will lend us your expertise by helping us to recruit students for our Saturday afternoon classes.
Participants must apply, be interviewed and be willing to consistently attend classes, as well as rehearsals and performances on time.

I am looking or a program for my daughter, she has always been around latin due to the area we live in and the school she goes to. I now see she is in need know that she is african american and understand that being dark skin (which she is fair skin but has been told by them that she is to dark) is beautiful. She is 10 years old and my other daughter is 7 going on 8.

I would like some information on how to start a IAM program in Houston, Texas. I think this is a wonderful opportunity for young black women growing up in today’s demanding society. I recently became alarmed and outraged, after being given a video capturing young girls having “Street Brawls/fights” as a means of entertainment and expression of self worth in the state of Texas.
